McCoy’s Animal Rescue · Rehome help
Sometimes love means letting go. We can help.
If you can’t keep your dog, you’re not a bad person — you’re a person in a hard spot, doing the responsible thing by asking. Here’s exactly what happens when you reach out to us. No judgment, ever.
How it works
Step by step, honestly
You reach out
Call us or send the form below. Tell us about your dog and your situation — as much as you’re comfortable sharing.
We talk it through
A real conversation with Eric or Crystal. Sometimes there’s a fix that keeps a dog home; if there isn’t, we plan the handoff together.
Intake & evaluation
Your dog comes to live in our house — not a kennel run. We don’t cage Yorkies: rescue dogs live in the home, free to roam, and go pretty much everywhere with us.
Vet visit at Fieldstone
Every intake sees Dr. Mike at Fieldstone Veterinary: exam, shots brought up to date, and any health issues addressed before adoption.
We work the dog’s issues
House manners, confidence, socializing — whatever your dog needs to be ready for a new family, at their pace.
A transparent adoption
We match your dog with a vetted home and tell adopters the truth — the good and the weak areas that need continued training. No surprises, for the dog’s sake.
What we accept
Any animal we can help
Our mission is to save every animal we come across that needs help. Dogs come first, and small dogs and Yorkies are our specialty after 40 years with the breed. If we truly can’t take an animal, we’ll say so honestly — and help you find who can.
The honest part
We’re a small family rescue
It’s the two of us and our home, not a big facility — so space is limited and we read and answer every message ourselves, usually within a couple of days. If your situation is an emergency, please call rather than write.
McCoy’s Animal Rescue exists to save every animal we come across that needs help — dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, ducks, geese, turkeys, rabbits, fish, and more — through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption into loving homes.
